How do I change my YouTube URL?

There are a few ways to change your YouTube URL.

  1. Log in to YouTube and click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen.
  2. Select "Your Account" from the drop-down menu that appears, and then click on "Linked Accounts."
  3. Under "Your Channel," select "Video Links."
  4. On the right side of the page, under "URLs," you'll see a list of all of your videos' URLs (including any embedded videos). Click on one of them to open its details page.
  5. In the text box at the top of this page, type in a new URL for your video (for example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzCwFmfPnZ. Make sure it's correct and spelled correctly! If it isn't, YouTube will automatically generate a new URL for you based on your current video's title and description (it won't work if you just enter a random string!).
  6. Click on "Update" at the bottom of this page to save your changes and return to the main screen where you should now see your new URL listed under "Video Links.
